The Pilgrimage of the Sick at St. Arnold Janssen Parish in Ariwa, Uganda, was held on 21 November 2025 at the Sacred Heart Eucharistic Center Chapel in Bidibidi Settlement. It was a moment filled with grace as more than 100 sick parishioners gathered to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation, participate in the Eucharistic Celebration, and receive special prayers and blessings for the sick. They were encouraged to view sickness and suffering not only as a burden, but also as an opportunity to participate in and unite themselves with the suffering of Christ.
This event reaffirmed that the Church is always present for those who are weak and suffering, offering comfort, strength, and hope amid life’s challenges. Through this spiritual pilgrimage, the faithful were reminded that God never abandons His children, but draws near to heal, uplift, and strengthen their faith.
