At our Holy Family Parish, we also celebrated this great feast
Prayer for all the souls in purgatory:
“I offer Thee the most precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus,
in union with the Masses offered throughout the world today,
for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory,
for all sinners everywhere,
for sinners in the universal Church,
those in my own home,
and within my family.
Amen.”
Prayer is powerful. It is important that we pray for the souls of our loved ones and for all those in purgatory. However, All Souls’ Day should not be the only day we remember them. While it is a special occasion to spend extra time in prayer for the departed, we are encouraged to pray for them throughout the entire year.
