Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul

Today, the whole Catholic Church joyfully celebrated the Solemnity Sunday of Saints Peter and Paul. In our Bidibidi settlement, we also joined in this universal celebration by attending the Solemn Mass at Saint Arnold Janssen Parish and at various chapels within our community.
At Saint Joseph Freinademetz Chapel, our candidates shared reflections related to the vocations of the SVD and SSpS sisters, offering inspiration to all the Christians who were present for the celebration. Before Mass began, the Sacrament of Confession was offered, allowing many faithful to prepare their hearts. Meanwhile, the choirs practiced sacred hymns, and others prayed the Holy Rosary in preparation for the Mass.
After the solemn celebration of the Eucharist, some children performed songs to thank our benefactors and to honor this great feast day of Saints Peter and Paul.
We then gathered for a communal lunch, where we also listened to stories of refugees living in our settlement, deepening our understanding and compassion for one another’s journeys.
After completing our mission activities, we returned home filled with the love and mercy of God. On the road, as we made our way back, we prayed the Divine Mercy Chaplet and the Rosary—lifting up all missionaries who are serving in distant lands and asking God to bless their work.
