Missions for the Youth during the Summer Holidays

In May, Uganda observes a summer holiday for all students. During this break, we organized various activities for the youth in our settlement missions. From May 19th to 23rd, around 200 young people participated in seminars held at the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Swinga, Bidibidi.

The workshops focused on building resilience through the pilgrimage of hope and addressing the challenges faced by youth in their families and societies. The participants eagerly engaged in the sessions, sharing their own experiences during group discussions. In the following days, they presented their insights and reflections to the larger group.

Each day of the seminar began with morning prayers, followed by Mass and Adoration. In addition to gaining new knowledge, the youth had meaningful spiritual experiences together.

At the end of the workshop, we conducted interviews with several participants. They expressed their commitment to sharing what they had learned with others in their communities. Many also expressed hope to attend future workshops and gain even more knowledge and experience.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the SVD priests and brothers, the SSPS sisters, and especially to the benefactors who continually pray for, support, and help our mission.
