Celebration of the Feast of Mary, Mother of the Church – Monday, June 9
On Monday, June 9, the entire Catholic Church celebrated the Feast of Mary, Mother of the Church. We gathered at the Mary Mother of the Church chapel in Ambia zone 3 to celebrate the Holy Mass and participate in activities with many fellow Christians who are Catechists, Holy Childhood , youth, Catholic Action and Women Association.
During this special Mass, we gave thanks to the Lord our God through prayer, songs, and dance. Before the celebration, some Christians received the Sacrament of Confession, while the choirs practiced hymns for the Mass, and others prayed the Rosary in preparation.
In our prayers during the Mass, we asked for the intercession of Mary for the whole Catholic Church, especially for the Church in Africa. We also prayed for unity among all Christians.
After the Mass, we enjoyed a joyful celebration with drama performances, traditional songs, and dancing. Some members of the community kindly offered gifts, and we shared a meal together with all the Christians present.
We pray and hope that, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church, the lives of all refugees may improve and be filled with peace and hope.
